User Guide
This guide covers day-to-day use of the SONAN Location Launchpad for managing new store openings.
Logging In
The app is protected by Cloudflare Zero Trust Access. When you visit launchpad.sonantech.com, you will be prompted to authenticate with your approved email address. A one-time code is sent to your email — enter it to access the app.
If the fallback password method is enabled, go to /login.html and enter the admin password provided by your system administrator.
Dashboard
The dashboard is your home screen. It shows:
- Summary stats — total locations, active openings, tasks due today, overdue, critical, blocked
- Location cards — one card per active location with progress bar, key dates, and warning alerts
- Warnings — red alert if rent commencement is within 30 days; orange alert if target opening is after rent commencement
Creating a New Location
- Click + New Location in the top right (dashboard or Locations page)
- Fill in the location details — name is required; all other fields are optional but recommended
- Click Save Location
- Tasks are automatically generated from the master template — you'll see all categories populated immediately
All 60+ onboarding tasks are created automatically. You do not need to create them manually.
Viewing a Location
From the Locations page or Dashboard, click View → on any location card to open the Location Detail page. This page has three tabs:
- Tasks — all tasks for this location with filtering by status, category, and priority
- Budget — all budget items with totals and TI tracking
- Progress — visual progress bars by category
Updating Tasks
On the Location Detail page under the Tasks tab:
- Quick status change — use the dropdown in the Status column to change status instantly
- Edit a task — click the ✏️ icon to open the task editor (add due dates, notes, links, assigned person)
- Delete a task — click 🗑 and confirm
- Add a task — click + Add Task button in the top right
Marking a task as Done automatically records the completion date.
Marking Tasks Complete
The fastest way to mark a task done is to change its status using the dropdown in the task row. Select Done — the completion date is recorded automatically. For tasks that need documentation, click ✏️ and add a link to the supporting document in the Link / Document URL field.
Budget Tracking
On the Location Detail page, click the Budget tab. You can:
- View all budget items with estimated vs actual costs
- Click + Add Budget Item to add a new line
- Mark items as TI Eligible (Yes / No / Maybe)
- Mark items as Paid and record the payment date
- View totals: Total Estimated, Total Actual, TI Eligible, Out-of-Pocket estimate
Viewing Reports
Go to Reports in the sidebar. Select a report type:
- Location Overview — all locations with progress, dates, overdue count
- Overdue Tasks — all past-due tasks across all locations
- Critical Items — all critical-priority open tasks
- Tasks by Category — task counts by category and status
- Budget Summary — full budget breakdown with TI totals
Filter any report by location using the dropdown. Click 🖨 Print to print or save as PDF.
Document Links
Every task has a Link / Document URL field. Use this to paste a Google Drive, Dropbox, or SharePoint link to supporting documents (lease copy, COI, permit, photos, etc.). The link appears as a clickable 🔗 icon in the task list.
